Overview

This Master’s degree aims to train expert graduates with advanced and operational knowledge in the field of biodiversity, capable of applying such knowledge to the conservation of biological heritage. The subjects covered in the Master’s degree fully utilise the knowledge of the properties of biological systems acquired during the three-year undergraduate programme, delving into topics related to evolutionary mechanisms and dynamics, reproductive and adaptive strategies, and morpho-functional, genetic, and biomolecular plasticity in organism-environment relationships.

Programme structure

1st Year: Molecular Methods and Bioinformatics, Ethology, Functional Morphology, Applied Statistics for Evolutionary Biology, Comparative Physiology, Plant Ecophysiology, Molecular Phylogeny, Theory of Evolution Biogeography and Phylogeography.

2nd Year: Conservation and Evolution, Philosophy of Biological Sciences, Biological Responses to Climate Change, Behavioural Genetics, Molecular Anthropology, Methods and Applications in Evolutionary Population Genomics, English Language B2 (Productive Skills).
