Overview

The Master’s degree aims at training high-skilled professionals in the research and development of innovative functional materials. The programme is strongly interdisciplinary (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geology) and versatile, offering both strong theoretical courses and applied research-oriented teaching. Students will be able to design, produce and characterise new materials and to exploit the acquired knowledge to develop devices for specific applications.
The fields of application include renewable energy, sustainable materials and processes, environmental-friendly technologies.

Graduates can work both in industries and research institution (public and private) in R&D, in the exploitation and optimisation of industrial processes and methods, and in high technological companies as experts and consultants for advanced instruments and materials. Students can gain managing positions in private companies thanks to the high level of knowledge and versatility.
