Tuition fee €2,529 per year

In order to accept your Offer at the University of Padova, you must pay the first instalment of tuition fees. Information on 2020/21 fees is not yet available, but the amounts will be more or less the same of 2019/20.
The total amount of tuition fees due per each academic year can be significantly waived based on your “Equivalent Economic Status Index – ISEE”. For further information on how to obtain your ISEE and other income-based reductions, see: www.unipd.it/en/tuition-fees

Overview

The Master’s degree provides a thorough understanding of the specific social, organisational, economic, territorial and institutional forms and dynamics that characterise local development processes in different contexts and at different levels. It offers an in-depth knowledge of the different methodologies used for the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes for local development and promotes the implementation of sustainability process. Its intrinsic multicultural and multilingual dimension is reinforced by international partnerships and mobility agreements.

Programme structure

The programme includes subjects like political, economic, regional and social organisation, territorial and spatial analysis (GIS), statistics for the measurement of local and sustainable development, intercultural learning, design and development of group dynamics. During the second year, on-site traineeship will enable the students to carry out researches that could be the starting point for the Master’s degree final exam.

Career opportunities

Graduates work as professionals in local development and development cooperation within different social and regional contexts in international, governmental and nongovernmental organisations, through context analysis and feasibility studies, elaboration and evaluation of policies and programmes.
