Overview

A degree course specialized in the education of high-level expertise in modeling natural phenomena and financial problems; an interdisciplinary activity between engineering and applied mathematics.

Who is this programme for?

Engineering bachelor students who want to deepen their modelling background and specialise in the development and use of simulation models. Physics and mathematics bachelor students who want to acquire a more applied technological profile and widen their potential job market through the exploitation of their solid theoretical background. Statistics and economics bachelor students who want to become specialists and developer of simulation models for in scientific and financial engineering.

• Mathematical modelling for engineering and science
• Financial engineering

Graduates in Mathematical Engineering can find natural occupational opportunities in agencies operating in the research of innovative technological solutions and advanced design with the aid of virtual prototype systems. The development and use of computational models is attracting a growing number of applications from different technological and scientific fields, as well as in economic and financial sciences, including risk analysis, trading, and investments.
