Overview

The degree programme in Computer Engineering prepares a professional, first-level engineer, able to work in the fields of design, production, operation and maintenance of information processing systems, in the most diverse production contexts and services. The course also prepares students to continue their studies in second-level courses both in the area of Computer Engineering and in related fields in the area of Information Engineering and, more generally, of Applied Sciences. The current articulation in two curricula, general and applicative, presents in depth the specific methodologies of computer engineering, which are widely treated both in the second and in the third year. Some aspects of application are also highlighted, especially in the second curriculum proposed. Some teachings are dedicated to presenting the foundations of information engineering. The first year is dedicated to acquiring the basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science.
